Florida is changing. Let’s be ready.
Your monthly support helps our communities adapt and stay resilient.
Florida is on the front lines of climate change.
The 2024 hurricane season was a reminder of how quickly conditions can escalate and how costly it is when communities are caught off guard. And as we look ahead to 2026, one thing is already clear: uncertainty is rising.
From stronger hurricanes and heavier rainfall to coastal flooding, extreme heat, and higher storm surge risk, the threats are growing. But we are not powerless.
The Climate Adaptation Center (CAC) is working to help communities prepare, protect, and adapt through science-based solutions and local action.
Monthly donors make our work possible because recurring support creates stability, planning power, and momentum.
Your monthly gift helps us:
- A trusted source for Suncoast climate information
More than 61,000 people have visited our website to learn how climate change is impacting the Suncoast and what it means for our homes, businesses, and way of life.
- Hurricane Forecast Day, built for the Suncoast. This season's forecast takes place on Thursday, April 23.
While national forecasts exist, ours focuses specifically on what the season could mean for our region, helping residents and decision-makers prepare before storms arrive. You can get tickets here.

- Provide Suncoast communities with the data we need to protect our coast
- Become a model for other Florida communities
Phase One (2026) includes:
- Partner engagement
- Site planning & cost estimates
